“Resting”! ?

My mind is racing this morning from one thought to the next,Lord help me! Our world is in turmoil,but why should we be filled with anger as if all of these happenings are strange? God left us His word and we should be finding the comfort and hope we need to carry us through. But many are filled with hate and anger,and I just wonder,where is your faith? None of what we see or hear or think we’re so right about should move us away from God. This “Election” has brought out the worse in so many,and I know I should not be surprised by the way some who say they are Christians are acting. I see History repeating it’s self for sure,just as in Jesus day,He said the love of many would wax cold,mercy. What are we to do in this time of unrest ( a state of turmoil)? Well let’s go to the word of God where all of our help and strength comes from.

In Matthew 24 we find that unrest is part of God’s plan for this time in History.

F. Great falling away from true faith:

2 Thes.2:2,3  The day of Christ shall not come except there come a falling away (apostasy) first

Mat. 24:12  Iniquity shall abound…the love of many shall wax cold

Mat. 24:5,11,24  Arise false Christs, & false prophets…deceive many

1Tim. 4:1  In latter times some shall depart from the faith… giving heed to doctrines of devils

God has forewarned us of these times we’re seeing,and if we’re to stand we must trust God. There is no other right way! Let’s rest :

Psalms 37:7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Are We Showing Real Love?

I’m sure that we’ve caused so much pain and heartache to others as Christians. We sometimes think we know it all and that we have all of the answers. We do not!  And even admitting that is hard for a whole lot of Christians. Some of us throw stones,when God has told us to be compassionate.  We are to think of others more highly than we do ourselves,we run all over that one. If something is going on and it’s not right by our misguided standards, then to us it’s wrong and we make sure the participants know. How many people have we caused to turn away from Jesus by our actions and attitude. More often than not,we also run off filled with enthusiasm but it’s also misguided zeal,and it’s tearing people apart. If we would truly take time and listen to the Holy Spirit,then we sure enough would make a huge difference in the lives of our family,friends and neighbors. And that is what we  want to show them, real love,so let’s pray for God to help us wait on Him. Let’s stop doing things our way and practice doing them God’s way,for His way is right.

Romans 10

Dear brothers and sisters,the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with Himself. Colossians 3

I Am Born Again

Praise God  I am,and I want to leave a “huge dent” in this world when I leave here! I want everybody to know that I dearly loved Jesus and that he meant everything to me. I can remember when I first got saved,it was so exciting and I wanted others to know.I wrote letters to all of my friends and family members about Jesus. I just knew they would be excited and want him in their lives too,but no it didn’t happen that way. Yes that was then,but what now? I am born again and I still want to let as many people as I can know,not because of me,but because of the love God has for them . Jesus Christ came to show us what God is like,God is love,and his love is good. Being born again does not mean we never sin,it means when we do sin,we have someone to run to,for forgiveness. Jesus does forgive us and he does not keep reminding us of our sins, religion does that. In a relationship with Jesus is like being in a family,we learn from him what he wants,and he helps us to do it. Jesus is so patient and kind,he’s long-suffering with us because he knows the flesh,and he knows we were born in sin. Jesus takes his time making us over and I’m so glad he does,because if not I would have been tossed aside. Being born again is the best thing that ever happened to me,and as I’ve grown in the Lord our relationship is closer and closer. Learning  to know his voice is  very important,in fact that’s how we learn to know his voice from his word. In this relationship with Jesus it’s important to know that trials and tribulations will come. Yes because satan is angry with God and he cannot do anything with God so he brings his attacks against us,Jesus has given us warning after warning to stay alert. We must be alert against these attacks because satan is cunning and he will have you believing  God is against you. Once we come into a relationship with Jesus Christ God is for us,and that’s more than the whole world coming against us.But if we don’t know that you’ll give up and turn back to the world. In this world there will be many things and many people coming against us,even our own family members will turn against us,but we must pray and hold on. Jesus Christ gives us strength through the precious Holy Spirit,and he helps us  by reminding us of God’s word. It is a wonderful thing being in a relationship with Jesus and if you’re not,please consider giving your life to Jesus because he truly loves you.

(2 Corinthians 5:17   What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore,for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! )   And in this newness it takes time to grow up so don’t beat yourself up,wait on the Lord Jesus,he will do the makeover.
