The Virgin Birth Of Jesus

Matthew 1

18 The birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. His mother Mary had been promised to Joseph in marriage. But before they were married, Mary realized that she was pregnant by the Holy Spirit19  Her husband Joseph was an honorable man and did not want to disgrace her publicly. So he decided to break the marriage agreement with her secretly.

20  Joseph had this in mind when an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. The angel said to him, “Joseph, descendant of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is pregnant by the Holy Spirit.21  She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus [He Saves], because he will save his people from their sins.” 22 All this happened so that what the Lord had spoken through the prophet came true: 23  “The virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name him Immanuel,” which means “God is with us.”

24  When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him to do. He took Mary to be his wife. 25 He did not have marital relations with her before she gave birth to a son. Joseph named the child Jesus.

Are We Showing Real Love?

I’m sure that we’ve caused so much pain and heartache to others as Christians. We sometimes think we know it all and that we have all of the answers. We do not!  And even admitting that is hard for a whole lot of Christians. Some of us throw stones, when God has told us to be compassionate.  We are to think of others more highly than we do ourselves,we run all over that one. If something is going on and it’s not right by our misguided standards, then to us it’s wrong and we make sure the participants know. How many people have we caused to turn away from Jesus by our actions and attitude. More often than not,we also run off filled with enthusiasm but it’s also misguided zeal, and it’s tearing people apart. If we would truly take time and listen to the Holy Spirit, then we sure enough would make a huge difference in the lives of our family, friends and neighbors. And that is what we  want to show them, real love,so let’s pray for God to help us wait on Him. Let’s stop doing things our way and practice doing them God’s way,for His way is right.

Romans 10

Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with Himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. 4 For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in Him are made right with God.(NLT)

Colossians 3

12  Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13  Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14   Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15  And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful

(NLT).

“I Am”!

What is it that has you in bondage? What have you prayed for so many times that you feel there is no need in praying any more?  As we

walk with the Lord from day-to-day the pressures of life tend to get us so far down. There are days when we feel just like tossing in the towel, and throwing our hands up to say I am finished. I cannot go any further. Well we’re not the only ones that have cried out to God,and they were in bondage even longer!

Exodus 3:7~10

The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey —the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and JebusitesAnd now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them.10 So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”(NIV)

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

Yes God heard the cries of His people down in Egypt, and He already had a way of escape in plan! And I’m telling you God has a way of escape in plan for you and me.God also hears our cries to Him for help and this is pleasing to the Lord. For did not He tell us in

Proverbs 3:5
