Reminders

I woke up this morning with my mind on Jesus, but it was also filled with questions. God has made many promises and  we’re not seeing our answers yet. So I want to share a simple answer my Father gave me: Remember Martha? Then my mind drifted back to the scene where Mary was sitting at Jesus feet listening to him. But Martha was also listening,Martha was “multitasking” although she was not fully enthralled with Jesus, she was listening. And  this is the kicker Jesus seemed to be paying more attention to Mary, but he also knew Martha’s heart even though she seemed more concerned with unimportant things. Jesus does us the same way even when we’re enthralled with unimportant things,Jesus knows us and this is what he wants us to know our delays are intentional . You do remember all of the people who heard Jesus call Lazarus from the grave, well when they heard, when they heard, they heard first!!! Then they saw,we’ve heard and heard and heard but we have not seen Yet. But Jesus said your delays are just as important as your answers so “DON’T GIVE UP” I know  where you are and  what I’ve  promised  you. Your answers are coming it’s just a matter of timing.

God Is

“And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin…” (Exodus34:6-7).

God was good then,is good now,and will continue being good to us! For His love for us “never changes” and that is a blessing. God’s mercy endures forever and we sure need it,praise God. Remembering where God has brought you from, and what He has brought you through really does give your faith a boost. So just in case you’re feeling a little down today, look around at where you are and what you’ve been through then “Look Up” and give God the praise, for he is “Worthy”!  And do remember whatever you’re going through it will not last, just look at how God has forgiven you and kept you, when you really wanted to give up God gave you a reason to keep going. Our Heavenly Father is awesome in all He does, being merciful, patient and long suffering to us from one generation to the next “Hallelujah” “Amen”!

Pride will Get You Killed

Ester 5

9 So Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against Mordecai. 10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself and went home, and he sent and called for his friends and his wife Zeresh. 11 Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king.
12 Moreover Haman said, “Besides, Queen Esther invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited by her, along with the king. 13 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”

Haman had it made, but his pride drove him on and into a place he did not return. Haman’s anger, pride and hatred of Mordecai and the Jews went on “unchecked”, and as the events continue we see Haman has lost it all. We cannot continue to walk in pride and anger because the consequences are very dangerous. Haman was filled with hate and desired more than anything that Mordecai bow down to him. Mordecai’s heart belonged to God and he refused to bow to Haman. I think it’s amazing that nothing happened to Mordecai for not bowing to Haman, that’s God’s protection. Because remember Haman was given power and authority right next to the King, and he could have used it against Mordecai. But God kept him safe and he will do the same for us,when we choose to honor and trust him. It’s so easy to fall into pride when being blind to the many blessings you’ve already received. We should be careful how we use what God has given us,so many Christians are falling by the wayside and I’m afraid it’s mostly because of pride. When we start to thinking and feeling like I made this happen for me,all by myself then watch out. God loves us so very much and he will give us nughes and whispers  to get our attention back on him,but when we let pride and anger or anything else come before God,we will fail. I thank God for how he used Queen Esther to rescue her people from being totally wiped out,God had her at the right place at the right time. When we obey it is amazing how God will use us and bless us greatly. In the end Haman was hanged on the same gallows he had builded to kill Mordecai.
