If My People

Acts

3 Then Paul said, “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, and I was brought up and educated here in Jerusalem under Gamaliel. As his student, I was carefully trained in our Jewish laws and customs. I became very zealous to honor God in everything I did, just like all of you today. 4 And I persecuted the followers of the Way, hounding some to death, arresting both men and women and throwing them in prison.(NLB)

Paul had a good education, top of his class, yet he was wrong when it came to God’s will.He persecuted God’s children hounding some to death 1. Sounds about like the Christians that we see all around the abortion clinics, doing things God’s way is first of all to be done in love, with mercy and compassion.  2. Claiming that all you do and say is right because of the color of your skin,God is not pleased with our wrongs! Yet we “scream” at others who are doing what we think is horrible in God’s sight. 3. Claiming you’re standing up for what’s right while you’re in your circle, but God sees you when you’re tearing people apart with your tongue. You get the picture, there are of course many other things could be added .

6“As I was on the road, approaching Damascus about noon, a very bright light from heaven suddenly shone down around me. 7 I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’8“ ‘Who are You, lord?’ I asked.“And the voice replied, ‘I am Jesus the Nazarene, the One you are persecuting.’

We really need to think before we bounce off, believing  what we’re doing is God ordained,I heard that one a lot.God ordained is doing what God wants in the right spirit,in the right time and with the right attitude. Paul not only got knocked from his horse, but he was blind and after this God trained him to do things his way,and he honored God. Are you praying for God’s will to be done  in and through you, we all need to.

Other helpful scripture:

Matthew 7:1~5  ESV  John 7:24 ESV   Romans 2:1~3   James 1:19~22   Isaiah 42:19

2 Chronicles 17: 14  If my people….

Help us Heavenly Father for how often we deceive  ourselves because a lot of time we continue doing wrong and we know it,Father help us to humble ourselves before you and to do your will in the right way, with the right attitude in Jesus name Amen.

Love in Christ Pat

You are right Pat. This is a time in our history when we must “be wise as serpents and gentle as doves”. God’s people need to pray before they step into the arena!

Thank you Pastor Jelillie I appreciate your support and your comment is very encouraging. I do believe as we move into the future our messages will become bolder because God is reaching for desired results from us. Do keep me in your prayers that I will write what he gives me,and not try to please people.
    Love you Pastor 😀

I agree Pat the time has come to be bolder in our messages about the Lord, and whatever we say do it with love and wisdom. I pray every day for the gift of love and wisdom, but yet boldness. Thank you for sharing this powerful message with us. Love Vi

    Thank you, Sister Pat

“God ordained is doing what God wants in the right spirit,in the right time and with the right attitude.”
    Much food for thought.
What’s the point of running off to do what He has not approved?

“Help us Heavenly Father for how often we deceive ourselves because a lot of time we continue doing wrong and we know it,Father help us to humble ourselves before you and to do your will in the right way, with the right attitude in Jesus name Amen.”
    Amen echo.

    God bless you much.

    Blessings
