6 “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. 7 Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’
8 “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer.
Let me work on the ground let me dig around it and fertilize it. The digging and fertilization in our lives is our trials and tribulations, Jesus uses these tools to break up our fallow ground so that we can bear much fruit. Digging is a process and it takes time to get that ground ready, just picture in your mind the soil being chucked with shovels and picks, painful picture right if the soil could feel.We do feel the blows that our trials and tribulations bring! But God knows what the ground needs to produce fruit and He knows what we need to produce fruit . God is coming after what He has put in us for the good of others and to build up strength and character in us. All of the good fruit God has in us is so that we can shine like pure gold and we know how it sparkles! 🙂 grabbing the attention of others. As we know all fruit trees don’t bear the same fruit and neither will we. All fruit trees have there season and so do we, so don’t beat yourself up or your brothers and sisters, it takes time and much work to get good fruit popping! Jesus is the Vineyard Keeper and His work in us will come forth, did He not say stay connected …
John 15:3 (NLT)
3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you. 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
Jesus has made many great promises to us that believe and He will surely fulfill them. In spite of all of our pain and suffering here God has a perfect place prepared for us,and as we keep our minds on Jesus we will be able to handle the pressure. After all we have not been called to suffer as Jesus did, praise God! He endured knowing what was in front of him so can we.
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Our good fruit will come forth! Hold on and Don’t Give Up! Thank you Father for being long suffering and patient with us Amen!
