In The Garden

Genesis 1

3  Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Indeed, has God said, ‘You shall not eat from  any tree of the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; 3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.’ ” 4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! 5“For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.
I’ve often wondered just what was really going on at this time,I wonder if all of the animals were able to talk(that seems funny),but we don’t know. I know satan is able to change himself,he’s not as ugly as we think he is. Eve was just talking to this serpent as if it was normal,I mean how many of us today would talk to a serpent umm!? The evil one is still speaking and every since he watched God calling something out of nothing. He has steadily been trying to convince men and women today just as he did in the garden ,that they are gods. Satan is smart and he knows the word and how to use it against us.  Satan has convinced many today that they are there own god,and they are trying to prove it to themselves and the world, that they are. Every since satan hit planet earth he has been doing what comes natural to him, lying.Still using the same lies he did in the Garden, calling God a liar and trying to convince us that what he says  is the truth. Thank God for the Holy Spirit, and for his Word that leads and guides us into the truth,if we pay close attention to God’s word then satan cannot convince us to believe his lies.Praise God for his good and all powerful word that lives in us,Jesus Christ.

  1. Hi there Pat! Thanks for coming by. Great post! I often wondered about the talking animals as well. did they all talk or was the serpent just talking because he was inhabited by Satan. But either way, Satan was, is, and always will be peddling his lies. His job is to steal, kill, and destroy and unfortunately we (humankind) make it too easy for him. We need to walk in the authority given to us by our Father!
    Be Blessed!

    1. Thanks Regina,so true satan is a liar and we must stay close to our Father and in his word.
We need to walk in the authority given to us by our Father! Very strong statement, walking in his authority,oh God help us to yield to your Spirit more and more.
      Love ya 😀

  2. Thank you, Sister Pat

Your post sent me to research 2 Corinthians 11
“12 And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. ”

As you said, this lie has been passed around for a while now. It’s not a new thing at all. We have to be on our guard. We must trust the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, otherwise, we ourselves will be deceived. We must not be fooled into thinking we can do this on our own.

May we be yielded only to Jehovah God and allow Him to order our steps lest we also buy into the lies of then enemy.

    Blessings,
    ann

    1. Morning Debbie and thanks for your most encouraging comment.Yes we very seldom consider his whispers he can fool even us,that’s why as you said praying and staying in his word is necessary.
      Love you 😀

  4. There is so many things I have often wondered about while studying God’s word, Pat. I put those thoughts on what I call my God list. When I get to Heaven, I will ask the Lord about all those things on my list. The devil is a liar and he is out to confuse us and to destroy us. We have to stay in God’s word and in pray with the Lord every day or the devil will trick us. Thank you for encouraging us with your letters of truth and inspiration. I truly enjoy reading what you have for us. Love Vi
