I Can Only Imagine

I can only imagine oh Lord that day in the garden when You went alone to pray.
I can only imagine the things that pressed You down and weighed so heavy upon You .

I know You could see us rejecting your Father ,I know You could see us lying and stealing and cheating treating others You love so much wrong.
I know You could see us hating each other as You toiled in prayer .I know You could see us as we all strayed .I know You could see the children being dragged away just as they started to play. I know You felt the pain as Mother’s cried again and again why,why did my child have to die.
I know You could hear the lies we often tell making promises we cannot keep.
I know You see us crying out for peace yet we fail to fall down at your feet.

I know You can see us being hated because of the color of our skin,we fail to see we’re all kin because from Adam and Eve we did come.
In the garden late that night all of these things pressed You inside and out! I know You could see the violence that’s going on in our world today, and then to our Father You had to say not my will but yours I will obey. They need me Dear Father ,they need me each day so for their sins this price I will pay.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

I Peter 3:18 NKJV

For He made Him who knew no sin to  be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 NKJV

Love in Christ Pat
